BIO

Sandra Di Leo is a designer and contemporary abstract expressionist artist. She was born in Wawa (ON) in 1978 and has lived in Toronto since 1997. She studied art and design at George Brown College where she graduated from the Graphic Design program in 2000. Sandra has been working as a designer for the past 15 years and has won numerous awards, while continuing to paint and establish herself as an artist; she has been painting since childhood. The elements and principles of Graphic Design play a significant role in her art. She works solely in acrylics, exploring childhood themes that are both imaginary and real through the fundamentals of colour, composition and texture. Sandra produces artwork that is not simply reflexive but continues to evolve as she grows in her practice. Sandra regularly exhibits in art galleries and major art events in Canada, New York and Mexico. Her artworks are in private collections across Canada and in the US, she also donates work to charitable foundations such as Design Hope Toronto, Sunnybrook and ISAND. Sandra is a member of CARFAC (Canadian Artists Representation), she is represented by Petroff Gallery and Denison Gallery in Toronto and ArtDealers Galeria in Mexico.
